Position Overview: Head Cheerleading Coach (2025–2026 Season)

Status: Part-Time, Seasonal | Location: Malden, MA
Reports to: Director of Athletics

The ideal candidate will have prior coaching or cheer experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for developing student-athletes in a positive, team-focused environment. This is a part-time position with evening practices and game-day responsibilities during the winter season.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement conditioning and training programs appropriate for all skill levels

• Maintain inventory of uniforms, gear, and equipment; coordinate needs with the Athletics Department

• Model and enforce all school policies, team expectations, and athletic values

• Communicate clearly and consistently with student-athletes, families, and school staff

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team culture that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork

Requirements

• Availability for weekday evening practices and game-day performances

• Alignment with Mystic Valley’s mission, values, and educational philosophy

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous coaching experience

• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to student development

Additional Information

The Head Coach will be evaluated at the conclusion of each season for potential renewal.
