About Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS)
Founded in 1998 and located in Malden, MA, Mystic Valley Regional Charter School serves over 1,600 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. MVRCS is committed to providing a rigorous academic environment where every student is empowered to succeed.
At the heart of Mystic Valley’s success are highly skilled teachers, a carefully selected curriculum delivered with fidelity, traditional teaching methods, and high expectations for all students. These pillars help ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Year after year, Mystic Valley is recognized among the top public schools not only in Massachusetts but across New England and the nation. Our students consistently excel at the post-secondary level, a reflection of the exceptional preparation they receive at Mystic Valley.
Students in Grades K–12 follow a school dress code and attend classes for 200 instructional days, 20 more than a traditional public school. Additionally, our school day is 60 minutes longer than average. These unique aspects of our program allow us to deliver on our mission of offering a world-class education to all students.
About Rosetta Stone
Rosetta Stone empowers students to confidently read, write, and speak new languages. Whether students are English language learners or studying a foreign language, Rosetta Stone’s robust platform accelerates both acquisition and retention.
Using a structured immersion approach, Rosetta Stone introduces new language skills at a manageable pace and reinforces them through varied, meaningful practice. Students begin speaking from day one using real-world imagery and native speaker audio, allowing them to learn intuitively, just as they did with their first language.
Every lesson is scaffolded to build proficiency across listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and review. The immersive method avoids direct English translation, helping students assign meaning through context and develop long-term fluency.
Learners spend most of their time speaking aloud in a supportive environment, receiving immediate feedback on their pronunciation. This helps them build confidence and comfort in real-world communication.
