Position Overview: JV Boys Soccer Coach (Fall 2025 Season)
Status: Part-Time, Seasonal
Reports to: Director of Athletics
Location: Mystic Valley Regional Charter School, Malden, MA
This position is ideal for a candidate who values athletic development, leadership, teamwork, and character-building through sports. The coach will lead the JV program and play a key role in the growth and success of student-athletes both on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and lead effective team practices
Develop and implement age-appropriate training routines and conditioning programs
Coach and supervise student-athletes during games, practices, and team events
Maintain an accurate inventory of team uniforms and equipment
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and school values in all aspects of the program
Uphold and model MVRCS policies and behavioral expectations
Communicate consistently with players, families, and athletic department staff
Requirements
Availability for weekday and weekend practices and games throughout the season
Alignment with and support for Mystic Valley’s mission and educational philosophy
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in competitive soccer as a player or coach (high school or collegiate level)
Previous coaching experience, ideally at the high school level or higher
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to foster a positive team culture

Compensation is commensurate with experience and district guidelines.
