About MVRCS:
Mystic Valley Regional Charter School (MVRCS), located in Malden, MA, was founded in 1998. The school serves over 1,600 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
At Mystic Valley, success is driven by dedicated educators, meticulously chosen curricula, high expectations, and a traditional approach to pedagogy. These elements are the cornerstones of our commitment to excellence.
Annually, Mystic Valley is ranked among the top public schools—not just within Massachusetts, but across New England and the nation. Our students consistently achieve exceptional success at the post-secondary level, a testament to the outstanding preparation they receive at MVRCS.
Our students, from Kindergarten through Grade 12, adhere to a dress code and attend school for 200 days of instruction. Additionally, the school day at MVRCS extends 60 minutes longer than that of most traditional public schools. These factors combine to ensure that MVRCS consistently fulfills its promise of providing a world-class education to all students.
About Rosetta Stone:
Rosetta Stone empowers students to confidently read, write, and speak new languages. Through its innovative platform, it accelerates language acquisition and retention, supporting both English language learners and those studying foreign languages.
The Rosetta Stone approach introduces new skills at the perfect pace, allowing students to practice key words and phrases in a variety of real-world contexts.
The program's immersive method expedites language learning by having students speak from day one. They intuitively absorb language through images and audio from native speakers, without relying on translations or English instructions. This approach fosters a deeper, more lasting understanding of the language.
Each lesson is carefully structured to enhance proficiency across listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and review. Students start by learning individual words, then progress to phrases, full sentences, and conversations.
By mimicking how we naturally learn languages, Rosetta Stone ensures that students build meaning and context through experience, resulting in more confident and fluent speakers.
