Position Overview
MVRCS is seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th-6th Grade Classroom Teacher to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality instruction, collaborating with colleagues and families, and fostering a structured and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain a structured, engaging classroom environment.
Implement the designated curriculum effectively, including Core Knowledge lesson plans and sequences.
Track and document student progress on a daily and weekly basis.
Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Engage in weekly grade-level team meetings and Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) meetings.
Attend IEP meetings and complete all required documentation and classroom modifications for students with IEPs and 504 plans.
Conduct peer practice sessions (if designated) for 30 minutes weekly.
Facilitate four parent-teacher conferences per year (two in the fall, two in the spring).
Attend "Back to School Night," open houses, and other mandatory school events.
Supervise morning, lunch/recess, and afternoon duties as assigned.
Uphold and enforce all school policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by grade-level leaders and the Leadership Team.
