Position Overview

MVRCS is seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th-6th Grade Classroom Teacher to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality instruction, collaborating with colleagues and families, and fostering a structured and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain a structured, engaging classroom environment.

  • Implement the designated curriculum effectively, including Core Knowledge lesson plans and sequences.

  • Track and document student progress on a daily and weekly basis.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

  • Engage in weekly grade-level team meetings and Teacher Assistance Team (TAT) meetings.

  • Attend IEP meetings and complete all required documentation and classroom modifications for students with IEPs and 504 plans.

  • Conduct peer practice sessions (if designated) for 30 minutes weekly.

  • Facilitate four parent-teacher conferences per year (two in the fall, two in the spring).

  • Attend "Back to School Night," open houses, and other mandatory school events.

  • Supervise morning, lunch/recess, and afternoon duties as assigned.

  • Uphold and enforce all school policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by grade-level leaders and the Leadership Team.
